Week 32: 2 August 2024 to 8 August 2024

Trespassing, Pypies Square, Devils Peak @ 15:07 on the 2nd August 2024. Our monitoring centre received a camera alert of a person entering a property. A description of the suspect was given to the dispatched camera alert vehicle. On arrival the AR did a search of the property and could not locate the suspect. A search of the area was done and the suspect was apprehended. SAPS were dispatched and the suspect was handed over. As nothing had been broken at the premises or stolen, no case was made by the client.

House Break In & Theft, Eaton Road, Gardens @ 07:31 on the 4th July 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a break in had occurred. Suspect/s had gained access through the roof. AR was dispatched an on arrival reported a Samsung television and a Lenova tablet had been stolen. A guard was posted at the premises and SAPS were dispatched for further investigation.

House Break In & Theft, Clare Street, Gardens @ 07:09 on the 5th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call requesting assistance. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported when the client arrived at the premises’ he noticed it had been burgled. Upon opening the main doors, a suspect fled that had been inside the premises. The client gave chase but lost the suspect. A description of the suspect was given but he could not be located in the area. SAPS were informed.

Armed Robbery, Pinetree Cresent, Vredehoek @ 22:09 on the 5th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a robbery. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported four suspects had managed to enter the property by gaining access from the back area facing the mountain. The occupants were robbed of their cell phones, laptops and a wallet. It appeared that the suspects fled again towards the mountain area. SAPS were in attendance.

Common Theft. Client, Quarry Hill Road, Tamboerskloof @ 21:15 on the 7th August 2024. Our monitoring centre received a call reporting a theft. AR was dispatched and on arrival reported the client had forgot to close the garage door and a suspect stole a small battery and screw driver. A search of the area was done but nobody was found with these items. The client did not want to open a case.
